The words

What we mean when we say it

An app that counts things for you should say how it counts. Worn, tried on, saved, today — each of these means one thing here, the same thing on every screen, and this is where it is written down. Where a word has a common confusion, we say what it is not.

What your stylist believes about clothes themselves is on the Canon; what the app keeps about you is on the privacy page.

Looks

Look
Pieces put together into an outfit — by your stylist or by you — that you have done something with: opened, saved, worn, said yes to, or answered.
A suggestion you swipe past is not a look. It leaves no trace.
Suggested
Your stylist put it together. That covers the suggestions screen, the daily pick, a trip day and a style edit; the look says which.
Made by you
You chose the pieces yourself — from your wardrobe, or by changing a suggested look into something of your own.
Saved
You chose to keep the look, and it is in your saved looks. Making a look yourself counts as choosing to keep it.
Wearing a look does not save it. A wear is a fact for your outfit history; saving is a choice. History is one tap from saving, if you want it.
Style edit
Your stylist’s plan for the four weeks ahead: the pieces to build them around, six looks with a job each, the season’s moves, and what would complete your wardrobe. One arrives on its own at the start of each month unless you turn that off in Settings; you can ask for another any time.
Outfit history
Everything that happened with your looks: suggested, talked over, tried on, worn, saved — newest first.

What you did with a look

Worn
You went out in it on a day. A look is counted in days worn — "worn 3×" means three days — on your own calendar, in your own time zone. A wear can carry one line, "Anyone say anything?", which your stylist reads with it.
Not counted by piece: a four-piece look worn once is worn once.
I’m wearing this today · I wore this
The two ways to log a wear. The first is for today, the second for a day that has passed; both write the same record, and both can be taken back.
Tried on
There is a mirror photo of you in the look. Wearing a look counts as having tried it on — you had it on.
Talking to your stylist about a look without a photo is not a try-on; see talked over.
Talked over
You had a conversation with your stylist about a look without a mirror photo. It is remembered, and your stylist builds on it, but it never claims to have seen the look on you.
Verdict
How a try-on went, from "Loved it" down to "Didn’t work for me". Your stylist reads it from your words rather than asking you to pick, shows you what it read under its reply, and you can change it. A look’s verdict is its latest try-on’s.
Not for me
You told your stylist a suggested look is not for you, and why. It leaves your saved looks and stays in your outfit history. Your stylist learns from the reason.

Pieces

Piece
One thing you own: a shirt, a pair of trainers, a bag. Your wardrobe is all of your pieces.
Unavailable
Out of play for a week — in the wash, at the dry-cleaner’s, lent out. It ends when you say "Available again", or when you wear the piece, from any button.
Not worn lately
A plain fact: the piece has not been worn in ninety days.
Pieces to style more often
Your stylist’s choice, not a count: pieces that were never in a look you went on to use, and that it means to build around next.
To finish
Pieces you have photographed but not yet confirmed. Nothing else in the app is "unfinished".

Pictures

Your photo
A photo you took of a piece.
Wardrobe image
The clean image of a piece the app makes from your photo, for the catalogue and the collages.
Mirror photo
You, in a look — including the photos you save with "Save what I wore".
Preview photo
The full-body photo your AI outfit previews are made from.
AI outfit preview
A look rendered on you, made from your preview photo. Roughly right about colour and shape; never a photograph.

Time

Today
The calendar day where you are, in your time zone — for the daily pick, a wear, outfit history and the evening card alike. A wear logged at half past midnight lands on the day you were in.
